familia y amigos.

How is everything going??? So i heard you all got to go up to neils for his
B-day….happy Birthday neiliy poo…. Thats sweet. You guys should just send roman to me
and i will play with him for a while and then will send him back. brilliant idea. A
little baby swap time. So what is this bio thing that is set up for me??? im curious. you
should put my pics on there. i am sending some pic home this week. so just scan them in
and put them up pretty please. So are you guys not sending my letter out on a huge
email anymore?? Whatever works with me. ahahah. 
Well got some cool news i guess.. i Just got called to be the new District Leader. haha.
funny huh. But its way fun. Its funny cause our whole District is like best friends. we
all love and respect eachother so much its just really fun. But its funny cause all the
Elders in my District keep callin my “Captin Elder Minetto” or ” Master
” and just funny stuff like thata. So they are having fun with that
Sounds like the YoungMen are havin fun with scouts and everything. They are a good group
of kids. Anywho…glad to see the GEO has made it back to the Homeland Where people
actuallly like it hahahah.
But this week has been a sweet and crazy week. first i got a little running group now. we
run about 3 miles a day. ahah. And there is like 5 of us. It’s fun. hahha. Great learning
experinces everyday here. Just love it. And my companion is soooooo in Love with this
Sister missionary. Its so funny. He totally has missionary goggles Anyway. We get to
teach leccion 1 in español this saturday. YAY. It should be really fun but im really
nervioius. even though i have already taught it about 4 times now. its stilll really
scary. But is will be a good learning opportunity.
But this week we taught our “moc” progressive investigator in spanish and we
finished leccion 2 and then taught him about Baptism. It was really hard to teach this
bacuse the Language barrier is so big right now its hard to express myself. But then we
commited him to baptism and he totally declined. Even though it was fake, it still wicked
hurt when he declined. So we are goin to teach him about faith tomorrow and blessings.
yay. fun stuff. This week has just been such an awesome wekk and i have really grown to
love my savior and all that he has done for me and especilally the Atonement. It is the
Single Greatest thing that has happend on earth and im so greatful for it  . Alma
7:11-13. i think thats the one. But its really good. I had a great experience with
teaching one of the substitute teachers and i really feel the spirit working throuhg me
and my companion to touch our teacher, cause after the leccion we tauhgt him he said that
everytime he would think in his head “oh they could say this to make it better, and
then right after i would think that you guys always did it, it was amazing”. so it
was such a good opp for me to learn and grow and learn to recognize the spirit. The
Spirit is pretty much it;s own language you got to learn also. ANd its so real. I know it
is. WEll i definintaly love it here and as you can tell i still cant spell. But im
getting cabin Fever but its alright. Just gotta keep myself focused and busy. Thnks for

p.s so i hadnt heard from yiou guys(parents) for a little while and Preparation day
rolled around, and i wrote Elder Harris Mom a letter and told her my family doesnt love
me anymore and that i needed a new familly and so she sent my candy and food. ahahahah.
its funny. But dont worry. I know you guys are busy…i just wanted candy and food from
his MOM. hahah. =Love ya’ll.

We recently got the following letter from Tyler.  It was HANDWRITTEN, so I have tried to reproduce it here.  Enjoy.

Hola Familia y other party people.

Well I’m writing a letter one…because I just today this coolest package ever with all the coolest stationary y pics.  Holla.  and Two…the computers are broken.  So NO EMAIL.  Lo siento everyone.

But this last week has been way cool.  I have been sick with a cold since Sunday but I’m getting over it so we are all good in da hood.  But I was pretty much dying.  Hold on.  I gotta take care of some business.  MOM HAS A FACEBOOK…hahaha.  So awesome…yet wierd.  Not sure if I’m down, but alright.  The hippinist Mom out there thats for sure.  But whatever great.

Some of the Elders in our District left for the Peru MTC last week.   Sad day.  But on Thurs Elder Taylor y yo got to teach our Progressive Investigator the 1st leccion…In Spanish…AHHHHH.  Crazyness.  It was hard but I could reall see the Lord’s hand in helping us teach that leccion.  We taught for about 30-45 mins.  Then we taught him again yesterday for another 30-40 mins.  It was great.  Cause we just basically taught him how to have faith y we neede to get him to realize why we need The Book of Mormon and not just the Bible.  Great leccion.  I will keep ya’ll updated.

But also we taut other Elder’s in teh Zone about just any principle y we all learned alot cuze we didn’t teach them as “moc” investigators but we taught them as real missionaries.  I’m just having all these great experiences with teaching and feel the Spirit while teaching

Oh one last sweet experience.  On Saturday we always go teach people in the TRC (where people come from the outside world come in and we teach them).  But we got this really old lady.  Such a cutie.  But when we started teaching her about the Plan of Salvation she would not stop talking.  you could tell she just wante someone to listen to her.  So we did.  But then she told us about a car crash she was in, what hard times she had been through (after with the crash).  So I decided to share a scripture with her:  Alma 7:11.  Its really good, about the Atonement.  But she started crying and it turned out to be one of the leccion we have ever taught, and we barely even taught.  It was so great.  But just a buch of great experiences.

As for the pants Mom… I will take them in when they get worse cuase some are just traying.  So I will keep you updated AND DON’T WORRY.  I’m on a diet and I run every day now atleast 2.5 miles.  So I’m not going to gain wight, I’m gonna be flacco. 

But glad all is going well with Shersti and little baby ________ who knows what his name is    When she due again??  And by the way I got two DearElders.com from Mom and one from Katelin and others but that it from the family.

Well I gotta go to the Temple now.  HOOOOOORAY.  Excited.  Love it.  Tall all hi from me and Love to all.

ok so i just got back from the temple, and it was amazing thats for sure, but anywyas, the computers were down all day today so i already wrote a letter. so im not really going to write anything. so just expeect a letter sometime soon from me and if you could type it up and just forward it if you get some extra time. thanks familia…..oh ya one more thing. MOM since when did you get a FACEBOOK. Thats sooooooooo funny. But this week was fantaastic non the less. We taught our progressive investigator lots and really welll in espanol. And we are probably teaching him the 2nd leccion tomorrow….in spanish. Its prob not gonna go too smoothly cause we dont actually learn that as a district until about 1 week or 2 before i leave for the field. but im trying my best. and can you see if smelliot snagged that letter i wrote him. Thanks. hope all is going welll at home and everyone is stayin safe and working hard. welll just dearelder me or something. and i didnt get anything from dad. you siad it was his turn. But thats all. just read the letter. LOVE YOU ALLL SOOOO MUCH.

hey hey familia.

Well im not too sure what to write cause i have not heard fom anyone except neil. ahahaha. oh well. But i got some pretty cool stuff to tell ya’ll. It been goin spactacular here and we are teaching alot. we are movin on to the 2nd leasson en english now and its pretty cool. Its kinda hard though. But anyway. last week i was wicked tired on one of the days and Elder Taylor and I were practicing the 1st leccion and right before we started i totally hullucinated a bird flew by and hit the ceiling and there were feathers everywhere. and i looked back up and there was nothin. Ya. It was super funny. Then elder Taylor was teaching a principl;e and i totally fell asleep on him and so i totally ruined that leccion. thats what happans when you get up at 5:45am, and never did it before. blahhhhhh. but im straight now . so its cool. But anyway we had TA this weekend with the Moc Investigator thing and we contacted en spanish really well then when we taught the leccion in english the people we taught were so not listening or wanting to be there. It was like talking to a brick wall. hahahah. oh well. But then on Tues(yesterday i guess that would be) we went to our prigressive investigator, which is a Moc investigator and you do everything with them just like they were a real one and you take them all the way to baptism. So elder Taylor and i decided to do it in English cause it has only been 3 weeks and we have not even been taught how to teach any of the leccions en spanish. but we contacted him en spanish then he “invited us in” to share more en spanish. so we taught him for like 10-15min en spanish. crazy. we honestly didnt know we could do that. It was sweet. And he told us he thought we could do it all in spanish…..ITS ONLY BEEN THREE WEEKS. its crazy. I can see the Lords hand in my spanish so much now it is great. And Elder Taylor and i practiced it today en spanish and we taught for like 25-30min atleast. ahahah. crazy. It’s comin along but i still got sooooooo much work to do.

SO whats goin on at home?? Anything sweet??? hip Hip hoooray for neil and mo and there new son. Thats rad. Now neil and Shersti’s babies can have baby fights. ahahah. just messsin. But ya. bot a whole lot else going on here. Im still gettin FAT so im going on a diet. Sad day huh. hahah, i got to though. hahaha. Oh well. Oh ya. i sang in sacrement with a couple guys from the Ward. We sang I Need Thee Every Hour acapella…and i sang Alto…..go figure eh!!! hhahah. Oh ya and Elder Pututau leaves for california on Monday. Crazy. He is a stud. well i will send ya’ll some pictures soon of whats going on here. ok. ok. Talk to you alll later.

hola my people,

Well the MTC has been treatin me good……and im gettin fat already. pretty sure i have already gained like 10 puonds….so im hittin the diet. hahah. i already got to use the strecthy thing in pants. not good. oh ya. by the way. all the pants i have are falling apart. like buttons comin off and seams are comin apart in the…..crotchal area…haha and the pockets… but thats not because im gettin big. its cause they are not good pants. so if you can talk to that dude that sold em to me and see what he can do…for free….thanks a bunch. well thanks for the package. it was great. loved the shoe stuff. Nothin too sweet happen this week but just the usual. Just lovin life here. But 4th of july Elder Taylor and i(he is from Mt Shasta, CA) we taught the class the second half of the primero leccion, and we did awesome. really felt the spirit while teaching. and we also do the 1st vision when we teach and it is so powerful when you can do it by memory. and i got it in spanish down super duper well. THis week on saturday we gots to teach the 1st leccion and then knock doors in spanish and teach somone how to pray in spanish. yay. super excited. oh ya… Elder Pututau sang on sunday at the fireside. it was deffinityl sweet to the nector and we taught moc investigators and all which is always good. its just been a blast here.

But ya i get to play some volleyball during gym, its not the greatest but it keeps my ADD entertained for the time being. ahhhh ya. we also et to go to the RC and take phone calls form people who call in about the church or we call them. and i was callin a bunch of people and the two people i got a hold of they totally didint want to talk to me and they got really mad and told me to take there name off the calling list. hahahah. love it. kinda like doin the pest control thing….except in doin this whole eternal salvation thing. hahaha. its a little better i think. but i think my emails will be way more cooler when i get to mexico…if i get there. they are having wicked Visa problems so all the missionaries either are here for like 2 more weeks on top of the 9 or go to somehwere else till they get the visas. I cant stay here any longere then 9 weeks. I GETTIN MAD CABIN FEVER. AHHHHHHHHH hahah. i just want to go run up and down the real streeet for like 2 seconds. hahah. its crazy but i will get over it.

Anyway. uhhhh are you guys gonna do the emial thing?? or just send DearElder things??? Tell all about the DearElder business. its sweet.

So how are things home. ANything cool happen….i need news from the outside world. hahaha. jk oh ya. can someone get me the kinsleys address sometime. mucho gracias.  * * * we are a pretty tight group. One of the Elders in our district Elder Maridithe almost went home cause he was so homesick. pretty sad for sure. But he is doin better. Well i dont really have too m uch more to write. But just keep sendin lettters and all and just forward this to whoever is on the little email list ya’ll got goin. hahaha.

Thanks all for the support. It all means so much to me. i really love it and love this work so much. There is nothin better then bringing Heavenluy Fathers children to the Gospel and i know it is the best thing out there. Ahhh i really cant describe how happy i am right now. well be safe family and evryone.

July 2, 2008 – Tyler’s first Missionary letter

hahah. Hola family and mom and dad….same thing i guess Well the mission is goin soooooooo awesome. im just lovin it here. The first week has been totally sweet. i will send ya’ll some pics when i get them developed. oh ya. make sure you send this to all the family and whoever else yoy guys want to. My compenero is so great. my first letter was kinda dumb because i was just kinda nervous that night. but i feel so good right now. I dont know that i have ever been more happy in my life. And its soooo cool what this place offers and the spirit that is in here because i have never felt the spirit so strong so often. I LOVE IT. we had a devotional speaker yester J. Richard Clark of the seventy. it was good. i sang in the choir. wicked fun. My Preperation day is today. not sure why you wanted to know… but yep. there you are….well thats all. write ya later…..not. just messin Well we saw elder Hales the first day we got here just walkin around doin his thing. it was sweet. but i didnt saw anything but Hi cause thats all that came out. ahaha. yep. but tell EVERYONE about the DEAR ELDER thing. i love it. cause we have the opportunity to get mail. so tell everyone to do it por favor. So my spanish is comin along. I can pray in spanish…..Yes the right way… and i can bear my Testimony which is such a strong power to do. And i can contact in spanish also and im almost done with the first vision in spanish. i really do EAT, SLEEP, and DREAM spanish. sometimes i cant get to bed at night cause i gots so much espanol rollin thoguh my cabeza. hahaha lil somthin somthin for you guys. MOM dont try to hard to figure out what that says. haha

well i want to share with you guys an awesome experience i had like on saturday. my companion and i were studying on this table and i was gettin really really frustrated with my spanish and so i figrued i should pray. so i prayed that i will get excited and have some motivation to learn and keep studying. And so after i just went back to studying and about 30 seconds later two elders came up to us and asked if they could teach us in spanish. they had been there for about 6 weeks and there spanish was so awesome. i felt the spirit sooooo strong and i honestly know that Heavenly Father works in ways that we dont understand. but that got my totally pumped. Thats all thouhg. So the spanish is comin and my companion and i study alllllllllll day long. we taught the first leasson in english on saturday and that was awesome. I love to testify. its so great cause it always brings the spirit in. i have learned so much. We are usually in the class or atleast our buliding for about 8-12hours a day studying. and we have about 1 hour a day for personal study and that is really never enough. i always need more time. there is just not enough time in the MTC to waste. Me and Elder Taylor study during all the meals to and contact other missionaries while walking. its sooooo fun. I see Karl Pututau. Love that guy. he has been here for like 5 or 6 weeks and its awesome. he is gonna do well. Everytime we see eachother we always Bear our Testimonies to eachothe in spanish. LOVE It. how is home life. whats new….I need news from the outside world. hhahaha. just kiddin. anything new though?? oh ya. i need somethings like usual. Some foot powder…Casue my shoes smell like…pooooo. ahaha. and my patriactial(there should be a H in there somehwere) blessing also. should be in my other journal or just copy and send one. ok i think thats all. i will write everyone else.
