————–Tyler’s Letter——————-
Hola FAmilia y amigos

OK ok ok ok ok. THat is ridiculously SWEEEEEEEET about Brent Holman. I got soooooooooooo excited about it. I really didnt believe it at first… but i think i do now. not sure still. But that is sooooo cool. he is going to just love it here. It is the greatest mission on this earth i have been to………. Becasue its the only mission i have been to. Well i want to see pictures of his opening the call for proof. :) ahhhhh su mecha. so cool.

And rebecca is home already. That is crazy. She spaeks that crazy language huh. thats awesome. Tell her hi for me.

Happy birthday Shersti!!! hip hip hip hooooooray!!!

So Tis week has been great. SO many great things have been happening. Last Preperacion Day we played Futbol. And i loved it. Even though i got spanked by all the mexicans it was still wayyyyy awesome. And This weeek i saw trurantula #2. and a member told me that these terantulas are VARY posiones. There hairs on there body have poision on them. So i freaked out a little bit :) hahahaha. it was nasty. here are a couple of fotos of them and my house that is the size of my bedrrom back home. no joke. But We are changing houses this week cause everytime it rains here our house(box) gets flooded. And while i sleep water soaks my bed and me. It kinda stinks but its all good. ;) Nothing really got ruiend. Its that time of the year here i guess where it rains cada dia and so its not good for our house. ;) But all is well. I have not seen too many other crazy things. Well….. ya i dont think so. But yesterday apprentally i ate cow intesten in my tacos. I knew it tasted a littl funny but was not sure what it was. And so they told me after i ate it. hahaha. but i didnt really enjoy it a whole lot. hahaha.

So this week will be a great weekend. We have 6 baptisims this week on saturday. And im reallly excited. On of the girls didnt feel ready becsue she ahd some problems and so we were really bummed about that because that is only 5. But then at church we met this girl who had recived all the leccions and had a fecha for baptisim but since the elders changed areas, it didnt happen. But we atalked with her and shse said that she wants to get baptized this week. So that makes 6 agian. THe Lord really puts his hand in our lives everyday. We just need to recognize it. Its such a great exp. to be this close to the Lord and the Spirit right know. ITs really a privalige and a blessing. But i really love this place and growing to love it more and more everyday. its has been great. Thnks for the support and love. Its great to here from everyone. And i love it soooooo much. Keep strong and much love to alllllllll.  :)

Love you all long time}

But the food is still rockin me. THat and that we only eat once a day is probably the reason i have gone down thee holes on my belt already. hahahahahah. its crazy. :)

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. IT was you DAYS OF BIRTH hahaa to GRANPA AND MEL. !!!!!!!!

Well we have had some great experiences. First like usual i will go with the funny. Cause its always better to end on a spiritual note. So about this TURANTULA. We were walking home one night and my comp started freaking out and he was pointing to somthing on the sidewalk. ANd becuase i am BLIND :) i couldnt see so i bent down really low and realized my face was like 1 foot away from a TRANTULA (and i dont know how to spell it, so it willl be different everytime) but i snapped some fotos of it and it started crawling away and  so i scared it back into the street and a car  came by just at that same time and smashed it. But it was as big as any TRANTULA you would see in the pet stores there if not bigger. i couldnt beleive i just saw it. So we went home and drenched the house with pesticides. :)

ANd lately i have been craving anything american foood. And i found a box of 6 regular size snickers. so i bought it and that night i couldnt stop eating them and ate 3. and then i woke up that morining and for breakfest i ate 3 more. Lets just say it killed me later that day. :) :) ANd along with that whole thing on how neil found ants in his bread. Well this lady gave us these suckers and i looked at mine and there were a million little ants crawling inside . so i opend it, brushed them off and ate it. It was funny….and nasty.

But lately the weather here has been killer. Just ridiculously hott with sooooo much humildad. So have never sweat this much in my life.

But the other Day we have been having troubles with this one barrio and finding investigadors in that area. SO we have been praying hard especially cause we just lost  one of our investigadores. But Heavenly FAther always takes care of us. Cause we walked out of house and we were about to pass this lady on the street, and My comp an I both had the feeling to stop and talk with her. ANd so my comp started to contact her and she blew us off and walked away. ANd we couldnt figure out why. and when we turned aroung there was this guy in his house just painting this sign on the ground. so we went and contacted him. ANd turns out he and his wife were baptized like 10 years ago and went inactive when there child died and they just moved back here and he was starting to read the Book of Mormon again. So it was such a great blessing cause they have two othe children that we will prepare for baptisim. It was such a great blessing to see the Lords hand in our life and use us to help this family out..

ANd we also had a baptisim this week. His name is xolletzy. And he is 9 and great kid. his abuelo baptized him. So that was great to see. And on the 27th of this month we have a big week for baptisims. 2 19year old girls and a family with 4. So it will be great. Im really excited. So pray for them por favor. :)

But thats all for now.  i gotta go. oh ya . we had a noche mexicano with one of the wards and i will send pictures of that in a while. It was really fun. And i gave a talk in church this week. hahahaha. Yep thats what happens when you are a missionay here.

Well love you all vary much and keep safe. sounds like evrything is going great. keep that missionary work up in the ward. And get all the members involved. And i want to see fotos of that girls baptisim some time after . Thanks. Make sure you tell evryone to email me cause i only get mail once a month here. if that. :) Love you all vary vary vary much and keep updating me about home life. Love to here it. :)

LOve you all long time,

BAPTISIM YAY – Tyler’s Sept 8 letter

Posted by Minetto Family on Sep 8, 2008 in Uncategorized

HOla everyone

Wow things are going great here. The work is just moving moving moving.

Elder Sanchez and were able to go to Veracruz on Tuesday because his brother flew in from Italy to get married in the Veracruz Temple and he got permission from the President. It was quite the trip. But the Wedding was beautiful. No one else was really there and they didnt even take pictures after which was kinda wierd but the Temple was awesome and the Session was in Español of course and it was vary difficult. hahahaha. but it was fun. Enjoyed it much.
So now we are in the rainy months of the year and since we are so close to the sea we get loco storms. Like two days ago it rained hard for about 20 minutes and the streets were pretty flooded but then like an hour later it started raining mas and we were going to a little store to buy tickets to go to the other city, la venta, we are in charge of and it was pouring like crazy. It was ridiculous.  and then we went to run across the street to go into the store and there was a lake surrounding it. so we ran throuhg that wich was about up to my knees almost. then we got in there and waited for our Bus and the water was raising and raising and it started flooding the store so people were standing on the seats and all. IT was crazy. And our apartment got a little flooded. Not much though.
But then we got to La Venta and went to meet with the Bishop´of that rama……i think its a branch in english. Im not sure. whoops. But the church is not even a church. its a little house with a sign out in front that says the name of our church. :) its funny. and the baptisimal font is a little pool thing out in the backyard. its funny. i will snap some pictures and send them.
By the way. The shower is freezing. FREEZING.
So we have this Investigator named Melesio and he kinda had a drinking problem but we commited him and he was doing great…..but then we went to teach hime more on saturday and we went to go in and knock and his mom came out of the house house next to him and was freaking out and told us not to go in. And we asked why and she said he was really drunk and had a machete. And he is vary dangerous, as you could imagine. So we were talking and he was just running around drunk with his machete in his hand. So we decided its probably not safe to stay. So we left. it was sad though cause he has a baptismal fecha and all. So its going to be really tough with him. But hopefully things will work out.

We have 7 dates so far which means that 7 people or familias have dates for baptisim. And one of them is a family of 10. The Rimigion familia. They are great. Vary poor but just the nicest family. THis sunday was there first sunday at church and they really liked it. Especially the kids. They loved there class. So im reallly excited for this familia cause they will be great member of the church and helpo  strengthen these wards.
And yesterday after Americas Baptisim one of her cousins asked me after if i could baptize her. she is 19. So im excited for that in a couple weeks.
But YES!!!! AMerica got BAPTIZED. which was a great experience. Her Other cousin danny who is a convert of like 1 yr maybe, baptized her. It was a great day. Everyone loved it mucho.

Oh by the way. The Mexican Girls love Gringos. Its vary awkward. hahahaha. As you will see in two of the pictures when we took at Americas Baptisim of all her family and me and my comp…. i knelt down in front and they both put there hands on my shoulder and i freaked out. It was so awkward. My comp says that they love Gringos. And i hate it. So annoying. hahahaha. Welcome to Mexico. So i stay far far FAR away. hahah.
And the other day on friday we went to go to Americas and i asked my comp what are we gonna teach…..cause we never plan ahead of time cause he wont. ahhh. and he said uhhhh not sure. And then when we got there he busted out ballons and taught us how to make animals out of ballons for ONE HOUR. hahaha. It was deffinitally a waste of my time, there time, and the Lords time. who knows anymore.

But things are going. Im learning alot about patience with my comp and the language. Its hard. Especially cause we were given a new way to teach leccion 1 and  2. A member of the qourm of the 70 came and gave us these sheets and we are prettty much supposed to memorize then. Its vary vary vary difficult. But if the Lord wants it, Then i will do it. Thats all there is to it.

But im am running out of time.

Mom here is the answers to your questions…
The food is really spicey and it kills me cause it hurts, if ya know what i mean but its so good. and they put chili on everything
I dont have a net thing for the Bugs.
And i still dont have a pillow and probablly will not. not sure.
DaD… did you want more stories or want me to just wirte more in general?????
How else are things at home??? and who is this girl  that got baptized???? send pictures. And tell here CONGRATS. Im vary vary vary vary happy for her. What a great exp katie ken had. way to go.
And im not sure if i can email other famiy members. i will check.

BUT MOM AND DAD. EMAIL ME ONLY. DONT USE THE DEARELDER. cause i think i only get mail like once a month. not sure.
Welll got to go.

Love you all long time

Tyler has arrived in Mexico

Posted by Minetto Family on Sep 1, 2008 in Uncategorized

Here is Tyler’s first letter from Mexico since he arrived.  Atleast he got there safe, but sounds like he is having quite an adventure…read on:

Wait. HOLA MEXICO
hahahaha. im cheesy i know.
Area i am in is called Agua Dulce. its the futhest south area in teh mission. And my
Compeñero is called, Elder Sanchez Urban.

Well. Let me tell you all a little story. THis is vary hard work. Much more tough then i
thought. But i am loving it. THis first week has been el hardest thing that i have done
in my life. I didnt understand anything anyone said to me the first couple days… even
if it was just hola. they speakk so fast here it is ridiculous. But…… There is nthing
more rewarding then hearing a kid about 6years old say a prayer for the first time. All
the heartach and struggles become worth it at that point.

But for some funny things first. So lets just Say PEPTOBISMAL and the baño is my best
friend right now. hahahahah. THis place is killing me. Tearing me up. hahah. Tacobell
doesnt even compare to this place and what it does to me. haha.
But its all good.  already ripped my sleeve of one of my shirts. We were walking in a
callejon(little street) and a frence reached out and ripped my shirt. but a member is
fixing it right now. Esta bien. But speaking spanish 24/7 is vary hard, especiallly
becuasse my compeñero does not speak really any english. he is from Mexico City. And he
is ending his mission in 4 months. ANd lets just say he  is getting a little, as they say
here, Trunky. which means he is slowing down with the work. But im just getting started
and not stopping or slowing down for anyone. hahah. so its all good.
But check this out. we only eat one meal a day. Lunch at 2. Other then that its just
water all day and Orchata. me gusta mucho. but Its vary fun. Our casa is, HONESTLY, the
size of Mom and Dads bedroom. its so stinking small its crazy and its ontop of another
house. I will send pics home in awhile. But its pretty funny cause when you flush the
toilet, some of what you flushed comes up the drain on the ground for the shower.
hahahahah. Its horrible. I just about vomited when i saw it. hahaha
And we have lizards and cochroaches and ants. its sweet. But we have hammucts to sleep in
also if we want. its cool. And the other day we were sitting in this member house eating
a bowl of ‘ who knows what ‘ and the hermano came running at me and smacked my neck.
apprentally there was a cochroach on my neck. hahahah. ¿Sweet eh?
oh ya i got haberñero pepper on the side of my eye yesterday and it burned all day and
night. haha. good stuff. But there is an exciting adventure every day here. Its vary fun
and i realized i will not be dry or clean for the nex two years. IT is definitly
impossible here. ANd i realized that i prob might die my a car hitting me. Cause there
are a couple stop signs and lights in this city, but for real. No one obeys  them.
Everyone drives whereevr and whenever tey want.  its loco.

Anyways. It has been a tough first week. A big Rollercoaster for sure. Yesterday we were
teaching and everytime i would teach they would not understand me. It is vary difficult.
And it really took a toll on me, but through prayer, all is well. ANd i know that as long
as i work my hardest everyday, the idioma will come. Heavenly Father would not have put
me here if i couldnt do it.
But we are teaching a couple vary great investigators, but my favorite is a little girl
about 11 years old and here mom. The girls name is America, and she will probably be
getting baptized this coming sunday. Im vary excited, it might even be in the ocean cause
we are only 20 minutes from it. BUt she is the nicest girl ever and her mom is sooooo
nice too. Our Goal for this week with them is to set  a fecha for the mom and get the
service ready for sunday.  but i gotta go now. I love this work and really love these
people. They are so humle and ready

Love you all long time
