This week was super great. First to answer alllllll the question mommy asked mi(whats new huh) hahahaha. Love ya mom. SO this elder Jimenez kid has to be from Agua Dulce my first area cause i dont recognize that name. I think it might be a kid that visited Agua Dulce that i met. We will find out huh. But a smalol world indeed……a little tooo small . hahahaha. Im famous. all the way to uruguay. Wooo.

So with the box. they dont inspect them. dont worry. Ya send mi lots of that face wash cause im breaking out bad and with that package could you send that name plack neil gave mi and those ties. thatnks. you are all the best.

Well today we went to Catemacho. its a nice little touristy town. And i talked to Brent Holman on the Phone the day he got in, It was really wierd to her his voice. hahahaha. but he sounded way excited and he thinks we are going to be comps sometime soon. We will see. And my comp from the MTC Elder Taylor just got to my same zone. Its sooooo fun now in this zone. The coolest zone i have ever been in. But we basically just talked all day today and reminisced on the good ole MTC. funny huh,. Good times. We totally want to be comps again soon. we are going to see what we can so about that.

But anyway. This week was fun. We have been receiving alot of blessing form the Lord. We have a baptisim coming up this week of a kid named Carlos. he is super cool and his will be the first member of his family. and then this week on sunday we swang by to pick some people up for church and they were still sleeping but they said they were just getting up and going to meet us there. so we all got to church and turns out they hadnt shown up yet. So i went on splits while my comp stayed and we ran down the street to there house during sacrament and they were still sleeping so i pulled them out of bed and they were practically half asleep at church. But really at the end of the services they were loving it and just feeling great and super grateful they came. we are doing a Noche de hogar with them tonight. And sometimes people dont know what they are missing out on. And as missionaries its our DUTY to do all we possibly can so they can have the blessings of the Gospel. I felt bad at first for literally pulling them out of bed, but i felt at peace that two more of our Heavenly Fathers Children were participating in the sacrament and the blessings of His Gospel.

New Cambio – Letter of 3/23/2009

Hola familia y amigos

Well this week was sweet. I totally got my valentines package. Thank you all VARY VARY VARY MUCH. Let mi tell you how much i enjoyed the A1 sauce. I put it on everything here. And i took it to a members house to eat with our hamburgers and they all loved the sauce but no one here likes beef jerkey….crazyness eh. Well i also taught them bout our family and showed them the pictures and all and one of the girls fell in love with Matt. hahahahaha. Atta boy matt. hahaha. And we had fun with the Warheads candy. We all looked super cool when we ate them. hhahaha

Well i will hopefully get to talk with brent tomorrow. we will see but it wont be in person. just over the phone.

but this week was great. We are starting a new cambio this week and its crazy. We are just trying to find some really good investigators right now. Cool story kinda thing……. So last week we started a Campaña (i think its like a promotion, not exactly sure) of Semana Santa. And the Mission gave us 5 posters for each companionship. And they are big and sooooooo sweet. And we get to hang them up around the city. I got Super super super super excited. Its going to be soooooooo rad. Posters of the church in this small city to get references. Soooooo stinking excited. And the members right now are giving us a bunch of references. Its pretty great. And our Ward mission leader decided to go crazy and start knocking doors solo to get references for
us……SWEET HUH. Every missionaries dream. So things are going super great right now.

Well The church is true and if we always have our goal as the Celestial Kingdom, and strive to be like Christ, I know that one day we will make it there as a family.

Bautismos – Letter of 3/16/2009

Hola familia y amigos.

WEll this week was such a blast from the past…..welll not really just wanted to say that. We had the most stressful and rewarding week ever.

well first today was great cause we went to the waterfall here. they were super sweet. huge and awesome. then on the way out we decided to go to this little pueblito. here is the story of this place.

so like 9 months ago this place had a bunch of members. and they are from 2 pueblitos. and a river separates them. But the missionaries there and the president of the ward were promising the converts new houses if they got baptized. So eventually they got a stink load of members and they got the church to build a church building there. Its is the nicest building i have seen in my mission yet. And it is in the middle of nowhere and in the middle of the poorest town ever. But here is what happened. The members never got there NEW HOUSES they were promised and they ALL went inactive. And they pulled all the missionaries out of there. And right now the church is abandoned and no one uses it. No one goes to church there or anything and practically the 2 peublitos are just filled with inactive members. Its soooo sad to see something like this happen. especially to the tithe payers of the church. So its just vacant and there. Its still all nice and in good shape its just none one uses it. And that was the great mystories of the mexico veracruz mission.

Well this week was HUGE success. We had the blessings of the HEAVEN pour down on us with 5 baptisims. They are awesome people. And they are one family of 3 and then there neighbors. It was stressful cause the mom of 2 of the kids didnt give them permission till the day of the interview when we had a leccion and the Spirit touched her heart. its amazing to see the Spirit doing its thing and the power it has on people. It was an amazing service and i felt the spirit sooooooooo strong. Such an amazing day.

WEll i gotta run. Thanks for all the prayers and support and the letters. i cant thanks you all enough. love you all. And my comp and i will be fasting the 19th and the 24th. dont you worry. Fasting works miracles if we all have child like faith.

p.s mom. the pills are only for 1 months to repair some damage. but i cant lay off the chili. its too delicious. And there are alot of dirt streets here. not all. but there are a good amount. the pill is called. LOSEC.

Word to all – Letter of 3/9/2009

Totally writing the family letter to you (He was writing to Melissa) cause…..who knows why. IM CRAZY. BLAHHHHH. But this week was saaaaweeet….little harder but none the less it went great. we are having satan work really hard with our investigators but he never wins. oh by the way. can someone update my page. Someone wrote mi that said you need to update it. thanks. you are all superstars. hahaha.

So i found out last week in the conferrencia that i have like Gastrictis or something. due to Chili. Because everytime i eat it, after words i feel like im going to die and vomit….but its soooooo stinking good in the mean time. ohhhhhsoooooooooo deliciouso. But they are making mi take a pill everyday and then i cant eat chili or drink soda. boooooooooo. But ya no modos

This week was great. We had a zone conference with the Mission President. And it was soooooooo powerful. i felt the spirit sooooo strong. it was on Obedience. And really talked strong on it. I realized the importance of being obedient and how it is the first law of heaven. But it was a money conference de verdad.

But good news. this week we have 5 baptisims this saturday. They are alllll super awesome and just full of the spirit. Soooo i will tell you more about it next week when it all gets done. Well sorry this is soooo short. But i love you all and am doing great. The Work here in Isla is just going crazy goood. Just rocking and rolling. Love you all and thanks for all the love and support.

Chili in my eye – Letter of 3/2/2009

Hola familia y amigos

So i just want you all to know that i am writing this and my left eye is on FIRE cause i was eating chile habanero and i touched it then scratched my eye…..terrible idea…..dont try it at home kids.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDDDY AND MATTTTTY. Way to ……..go….i guess. hahahaha. congrats and love you two demasiado. party hardy…well not to hard old farts. hahahaha

But its all good. Well mom i dont want to leave you hanging. My Comp is called Elder Haro. He is from Sinaloa….your guess is as good as mine as to where is that place. haahahahaha. my apartament is pretty nice…..just ant infested. hahahaha . gotta love it. its still small and smelly and dirty but i wouldnt have it any other way cause our neighbors feed us breakfast. yeeeeeee.

HOOOOORAAAAAAY for Brent Holman. just got word that they got there visas on time and they will be coming on time. yipeeeeee. and im sure katelin has already seen him….but she
cant hug him or nothing. hahaha.

Well this week was good. we just got back from a place called Santiago and they think that is where HILL CAMORIAH is. its sweet looking. So we totally hiked it today in the morning. it was fun. you should look it up. sweetness. But we had fun with the zone. guess what. found a car here with a license plate from….OREGON. totally took a picture by it. i was freaking out soooo much and i met a member who is inactive that her daughter lives in aloha by beaverton and they called her while i was there and she is an active member of the ward down there and said she is coming to ISLA and said before she comes she will talk with you guys so you can send mi goodies with her and they will get delivered to mi….PERSONALLy. coolness eh.

This week i learned how important hitchiking is. We decided to go out to this Rancho that
we didnt think was far but all these little taxie cars had left. So they all told us to just hitch-hike out there. so we did. it ended up being super far. and we eventually got there. And when we went to leave we starting walking down the dirt road to the normal road and didnt realize how far it was. And ended up walking for 1 hour and 10min to the main road and then we caught a ride. I GOT SUPER DUPER UNBURNT. hahahaha.

Well on tto the good stuff now. we had a great week and were privaliged to baptize a niña de 9 años. She is an interesting story o how we found her. Its super special para mi. So i had just gotten here kinda and we were jus walking around and my comp was showing mi who were member and who were not and who were inactive. But we never really stopped. then we passed by a house and my comp told mi here lives a member and two daughters but only one is member and we went here but they dont want to really come back and they wouldnt go to church. He told mi that they werent any good. so we just passed right by. But i felt that we should go back. But i thought…. why they are no good. But again i felt that we needed to go back. We went back and they ended up coming to church that sunday and the next and the daughter is who got baptized this past saturday. At times we doubt the impressiones we receive cause they are not convenient or for some other reason. I learned to always fallow the whisperings of the spirit and to always try to be humble and worthy to receive these promptings. well that was the highlight for mi.

GO Hermana Minetto GOOOOOOOO – Letter of 2/23/2009

WEll familiia y amigos

This week was grrrrreat. I cant believe my sister is a stinking misionera. blaahhhhh.
crazyness is going on back in the home land. hahahahah. But anyway.

A huge thanks to the BECK FAMILIA for that sweet package they sent mi. i cant even thanks you alll enough. I can really feel your love and support and it helps us missionaries soooooo much. And i could really feel the love and support through those SUPER DELICIOUS TREATS. yeeeeee. thanks muchisimo.

just a quick little funny things that happened this week. I realized that Isla is shorter then mi. everything. i thing i have a permanent bump on my head from smashing my head on all the ropes and doorframes. its crazyiness here. hahahahaha. And also this week i got to see one of the elders from my Generation. Elder Harris. it was great. we totally reminisced about the MTC. The MTC was sweet. and katelin is totally going to love it…..until she starts getting clausterphobic and wants to just jump out until the real world. ahahahaha. but mexico sure does make one skinny. hahahaha

Anyway. This week we had a baptism of a niña taht has 9 years. and her family was all inactive and we got them active again and got her baptized. it was just a great experience and you can really see the Spirit shine through here and kids really are the kingdom of God. Its great to see them so ready and so willing. if only we could be humble enough to be like kids. But the Spirit was super strong at the baptism and just everything went awesome.

Also we had a great day at church la verdad. In the morning we were going to do SPLITS to go pass by for investigators to get more to church but one of the guys bailed on us so we couldnt. SO we decided se were going to have to do it all our selves but really didnt know how. So i said a silent prayer to ask for more help and we went at it. We started walking, almost running all over towns cause we dont have cars or taxis. So we past by one and he couldnt go cause he was sick. Then we went to another and this is a family of 4 and they were not even ready at all but we told them that a member would swing by in there truck to get them in 5min. But i really doubted they could come. Then we went to our last one on the other side of town. And we got there and there was no one there. so we were super disappointed. But we got to church super tired and sweating like a pig. And i was kinda bummed cause the president of the mission was coming to our ward to sign recommends and we didnt have any investigators. But as i looked around one kid had showed up with a different member. So i was stoked. Then i saw that family, who wasnt home, just sitting there. and i asked them when they got there and they said they were waiting for us but we got there late so they just left for church with out us. sweeet huh. THen the services started and in walked that other family of 4 who i didnt have tooo much faith in SO it turned out to be a saaaweeeeet sunday and just the SPirit was huge. it just goes to show that when we do our best effort the Lord with do his part. D&C 82:10

Ok im done.

But thanks for all the letter and boxes. you all rock. ANd Katelin you are going to tear it up. Teach everyone possible. Go get em tiger.
