Letters and Experiences from Mexico Veracurz Mission

Hola familia y amigos.
Well this week was a vary hard and great week. learned a whole heck of a lot of stuff.
yayayaya.
First and foremost hahahaha. that sounded really formal. WEll andyway. THANKS Shersti and claire and meg for the sweetest boxes EVER. I LOVED THEM. They blew my mind and i ALWAYS love getting boxes. It feels like Christmas when a missionary gets a box. hahahaha. no for real it really does.
So funny thing……….. I know all my black friends will appriciate this but i totally saw a guy with a REAL GRILL. Not like to cook in but on the front teeth. They were all covered in cap things and all gold. He was totally big ballin. holla. hahahahaha. It was awesome. I was loving it up and i took mi back to my black roots, hahahahahaha. (yes jamie and natalya, i am black). hahahaha.
So this week at the begging of the week on tuesday we had a multi-zona conference. It was cool. i got to see 2 of my old comps. It was awesome. And in this conferencia my zone sang. And mi and 2 other elders sang solos. We sang I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR and it was sweet. i sang the alto part while Elder Carter sang the melody. Just us 2. It sounded sweet and took mi back to my acapella days. hahahaha. good times.
so this week i learned a lot about how to really trust the Lord and find the Chosen, or see the people that are truly ready to hear and accept the Gospel. So this week my comp and i made a goal that we were going to Put Baptisim dates EVERY day this week. It was kinda scary ot first but then you really see who is ready for the Gospel. Its amazing what the Spirit will tell you and how it will guide you. But we were able to put 6 Dates this week and now hopefully we will be able to see the fruits of this work. But it was really a spiritual experience and the Spirit taught be a lot of things in this week that i know will help mi be a better instrument in the Lords hands.
Well thanks for all the love and support and the letters……and the packages. they rock my little mexican socks. hahaha. i love yo all and pray for you all.
Love you all long time

P.s sorry mom and dad that i have been taking out lots of money lately. No one in the mission has money cause they have not deposited anything. we are all poooooooooor
Hola familia y amigos.
How is all doing. hahahhaha.
So this week was a struggling week but it all payed off on the weekend.
But something really funny happend this week. So starting last week i had been seeing alot of rat poo around the house. And i really could not figure out where the little booger was coming from. Then one day i was sitting on the toilet just minding my own buisness when in came running a rat. I yelled like a little girl and he took off down the drain pipe thing. But then the next day i was in the bathroom AGAIN. hahaha. and i suddenly heard a yell from my comp outside the bathroom and so i looked down and in came running the rat. I screamed AGAIN like a girl and just took off out of the bathroom. hahaha. funny eh. But we plug up that drain now with a handy dandy bouncy ball. hahhaha
Well i wil get to the baptisms now. So this week we got the privilege to baptize 2 little girls in a little river just outside of Isla. So we did the interview and we were looking at a picture of a girl getting baptized in the river of another area and the girl said to us that she wanted to get baptized in one too. So we made it work.
WE all went in the truck bed of an member and left the city and went to a little river/stream. The hardest part of all this was changing in the bushes. hahahahahaha. But the water was a little dirty but nonetheless good to go. And i baptized first. But when i closed my eyes to do the ordinance prayer i felt something sooooooo special and felt the Holy Ghost sooooo strong and it really testified to mi that this is the only valid baptism that exists on this earth and it really is the same way Jesus Christ Himself was baptized. Well my comps first baptisim ever…in a river. cool huh. he loved it.
My HIJO is doing good. its alot harder then i thought. They come in not knowing anything especially here cause we have charlas (discussions) to MEMORIZE and that is the way we HAVe to do it. So he doesnt know them so i teach ALOT. But i’m just throwing him in there to teach whatever he can say. hahahahahah. But all is well.
i will send some pics. And i will send you guys a CD of pictures this week. Can you make sure you save these CDs please. and im buying and external hard-drive to put my pics on. ok. thanks for all. Love you all and keep sharing the Gospel with ALL
Love you all long time

And yes we are wearing ties again

Hola familia y amigitos
Well well. It Sure was super duper sweet to talk to you all yesterday. Not goonna lie. Got a little on the TRUNKY side. hahhahahhaa. but its all good. Back in action i am. hahahaha. The time always flys like a ninja when i talk to you all. It all just seemed like a big blur. hahahaha. but the sweetest blur of my life.
So this week was hard but sweet. Learned alot.
First thing is first. Sunday i got to teach first….Gospel Principles. .. ….then……Primary… Yep…i said it……Primary..hahahahaha. ITs was crazy. So no primary teacher showed up and we had like 15 kids and the president of the rama (the Branch) decided not to ask anyone to watch them and instead they just ran around yelling and screaming like little monsters(ahhaha) that they are. And NO ONE did anything about it, and i couldnt stand the noise they were making. So i asked my comp if he wanted to teach
primary with mi…..and he just looked at mi and laughed. But we rounded them all up and shoved them in a room and locked the doors and threw some paper and colored pencils at them and told them to draw there house and yep. cool huh. Thats why primary is not a mans calling. hahaha.
Well this week a girl was going to get baptized but at the last moment her mom said no. Its really sad to see that the parents dont realize the importance of a baptisim. But she might get baptized this week.
And we had a nice little miracle this week. So the hna that got baptized 2 weeks ago. Her kid got taking away from her. And her kid was going to get baptized to but she got taking away. And her mom (irais) was super depressed and sad and didnt want to get baptized. But we had a super strong spiritual leaccion with her and let her know that if she got baptized, that the Lord would bless her and she would feel a peace. So she got baptized. And then on friday we went to her house and guess who answered the door…..her kid. So they all went to church this sunday and she realized blessed her with this miracle because she got baptized. And her kid is getting baptized this saturday. yeeeeee. cool huh. I thought it was a awesome example of faith and that we need to do what we know is right…..then……..follow the blessings after the trail of our faith and after we show that we are faithful. ITs a privilege to be out her witnessing these beautiful tender mercys of God.
Well sorry its so short. But thanks for all the prayers and letters and support. Love you all. And im getting my KID tomoorrow. IM GONNA BE A DADDY. hahahahaha.
Love you all long time

hahahahaha,}}
Like that title.
Hola familia a amigos.
So let mi explain that title. so the Presidente surprised called mi the other day and told mi my comp was leaving this week(tomorrow) and i was like then who is my comp…..and he told mi that i, going to get a GREENY. Someone straight from the MTC to train. ahhhhhhhhhh. Like Katelin. ahhhhhhh. im freaking out right now. cause i only have 10 months in the mission and i thought it was a little too early for mi but i know the Lord has called mi for this and i will do all he asks of mi and hope i can be a good example and daddy and trainer for this kid. But because of the Swine Flu the transfers got pushed back until next week……we hope.
well this week was crazy…..Because of this Swine Flu we had to wear masks on the Buses when we traveled, hahahaha, Crazy eh….. and all the services for church this past sunday got canceled. soooo it was a little more difficult but we dedicated 4 hours to visiting and doing mini sacraments with the Less active members…And we baptized a Lady that is called Irais. She is really something else. She suffered ALOT the week before her baptisim and so we had to push he date back and she got baptized this past week. But i got the privilege to baptize her and it was something else. She looked and seemed different when she left that water. I know that the Lord is
really mindful of EVERYONE of His children.
Well i wil talk to you all next week at 5:30 ish. Thanks for all. Wait i will be able to check my email on wednesday again to find out what katelin says about the time. so i will check it at like 7pm ish or like 9pm. Some time after her prep day ends.
by the way THNKSSSSSSSSS SOOOOOO MUCHHHHH for the packages, i opened them last week and i almost wet my pants. Those ties and candy and all we just the perfect birthday gifts ever ever ever. And the socks felt like LOVE on my feet. hahahha. And im totally not wearing
that new shirt until i hit the 1yr mark, hahaha.
Talk to you all SUNDAY; LOVE YOU ALL
Love you all long time!
