scabis and baptisms – June 8, 2009

Posted by Minetto Family on Jun 9, 2009 in Uncategorized

Hola familia y amigos

wEll well well. i hope you all love that title cause its 100 percent true

So this week was interesting. First thing is first.

So my comp and i totally got SCABIS this week. it totally stunk sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. So i really started itching bad on sunday of last week. And i was just itching SUPER SUPER bad, i totally felt like a stinking monkey cause i would itch my back like every 2 seconds and rub it on trees and things cause i couldnt reach it sometime. hahaha. So then Tues it got really bad and i decided to look at my back and it had a huge red rash all over it. So i called sis hansen and she told mi to take pics and send them to her through the email and she sent them to the mision doctor in Mexico City. She called mi back that night at like 10pm and told mi that my comp and i had scabis. So that same night we went to the store and bought a cream and pills. And the next day our whole body just felt itchy and crazy and that morning sis hansen told us that we had to wash EVERYTHING in our house. So we washed our Graments and we took all our laundry to a washing place and we had to pay 425 pesos….like 40 bucks. Then we washed the house down like crazy. That day we ended up starting to work at like 5pm. It was horrible.

Scabis are like little bugs that get in your skin and lay eggs and then those hatch and it just keeps going. So we finally killed them all. But i think i gave them to some other guys in our zone cause they had some problems too right after us and its getting to be a problem here in the mision now cause alot of people are getting them. boooooooo to scabis. i thought only dogs got them. They killed mi and my comp. hahaha

SO we had 2 baptisms this week. one was a free bee. Cause the guy got baptized in the USA and they never CONFIRMED him. crazy huh. so we had to do it all.

But the other one was a girl named Janett. This a miracle and a huge blessing that came straight from God and it was a privilege. she has 18 years and she has been going to church for about 6 years. SOOOOO many missionaries have passed by her house and talked with her dad but he would never let her get baptized. and her mom is a member. But the dad would NEVER let Janett get baptized or her sister or brother. So when i was with my last comp i just felt one day that we needed to start working with her, but my comp said that her dad always says no and there really was no point….. but i knew the Spirit was telling mi to do it. So we started to work with her again and we challenged her to talk with her dad about it. But she never would cause she was always too scared. then Elder Haro left and my hijo came. And so we prayed a bunch for her and fasted and like 3 weeks later one day after church i asked her if she had talked to her dad. and she said yes……and i said what did he say to you…. and she said ……he said it was fine…..I felt such a joy and happiness come to mi and just really knew from that point on that the Lord really is working with us. So she got baptized and it was amazing. And now her other sister which has 13 years is getting baptized this week. yayayayyayayayayayyayayayayayayyaya. I love this gospel

Side note. We found this family that moved her like 2 months ago from california and all speak ingles and the kids hardly speak spanish and the parents where married in the Temple and they were all sealed together and one is 9 and one 10 and they are not baptized…..we dont know why but they have baptism dates for next week. yayayayal. BLESSINGSSSSSS:

well thanks for all the love and support . i Love you all and pray for you all.

Love you long time

My parents are getting OLD hahaha

Posted by Minetto Family on Jun 2, 2009 in Uncategorized

Hola familia y amigitos.

Well this letter will be very short cause we had a preparation day activity and we just got home and now we got to get to baptizing the world. hahaha

But yes mom and dad. You two are getting old. hahahaha. your definitely over the hill and through the woods and creeping up on g-mas house. hahahaha

Well we just went to a little place today that is called nancyaga. who knows how to spell it. hahahaha. but it was beautiful. They even put mud on our face to make all our zits go away. if this works im going to do it EVERY NIGHT. hahahaha

But anyway. i will send you pictures this next week that is coming. So we were supposed to baptize a kid of 15 years of age but things fell through at the last sec and it was sad only because he was sooooo close to making those special
covenants with God and receiving those great blessings.

But it just gets us more animado to work even HARDER. And this week we have 2. One is a girl named janet. she has been going to church for like 4 yrs ish and her dad would never let her get baptized but she turned 18 and we had a sweet leccion with her and the Spirit testified so strong to her through us that this is what she needs to do. it was soooooo money the leccion. So spiritual. And the other one is a baptism GRATIS cause he got baptized like ALONG time ago but never confirmed so we get to do it. yay. and he got baptized in the Provo, UT and had lived in Vancover, WA for awhile too. Well that is all.

just loving the mish and loving the blessing we can receive if we are faithful. Love you all and Pray for yall all the time. The Church is TRUE.. Live and Love it.

Love you all long time
